Jacques du Preez

Jacques helps owner-managed businesses transform financial complexity into clarity, control and confident decision-making — the foundation for building stronger, more valuable businesses. It is the purpose behind founding Fractional FM. An experienced Fractional CFO and strategic finance professional with more than 18 years of experience, he helps owner-managed businesses strengthen financial control, improve performance and achieve sustainable growth. He has advised business owners since 2016, across accounting, tax, payroll, financial management, advisory, governance, trust administration and systems implementation.
His experience runs from owner-managed businesses to multi-entity groups and internationally-owned operations — including finance leadership across 11 entities, a senior role supporting the multinational acquisition of an agricultural group, and cross-border engagements spanning South Africa, the United Kingdom, Tanzania and the United States. He has designed finance automation and reporting solutions that cut processing times dramatically, strengthened internal controls, and supported boards, trustees and founders in high-trust decision-making environments.
Today, Jacques combines strategic financial leadership with technical expertise to help business owners make better decisions, strengthen governance and build long-term business value. He holds the AGA(SA) designation with SAICA, is a registered Tax Practitioner and Commissioner of Oaths, and is a CIMA candidate working towards the CGMA designation. His strongest contribution is stewardship and sound judgement — the discipline to protect capital, sharpen decisions, and ensure finance supports long-term value creation.

Deep expertise in IFRS reporting, tax compliance, budgeting and internal controls, with experience leading finance departments of up to 18 people and serving as a board trustee.
Anel du Preez
Certified Business Coach
An enterprise development specialist and certified business coach with over a decade of experience training, mentoring and strengthening businesses across corporate, community and academic programmes. Certified through SA Business Coaches, she evaluates business models, costing, go-to-market strategy and operational feasibility — providing structured, practical feedback that sharpens commercial logic and real-world execution. She has designed and delivered start-up and enterprise-development curricula for major retail, forestry and pharmaceutical groups, and has developed and guest-lectured a social entrepreneurship module at the University of Johannesburg since 2021. She holds a B.Phil Honours in Marketing (IMM Graduate School of Marketing) and a B.Com in Communication Management (University of Pretoria).
